Stephen McClanahan, PhD Joins Hill Top Research.
We are very pleased to welcome Stephen McClanahan, PhD to the Hill Top Research team. Recently retired from P&G, he is now beginning the next phase of his career and joins Hill Top on an as-needed basis as Scientific Affairs Liaison. In this capacity, Dr. McClanahan is responsible for building external relationships with recognized clinician and research experts within the Pharmaceutical and OTC/Personal Health Care client organizations to identify opportunities where a client's research needs can be strategically addressed in an objective, scientific manner by HTR's expertise in order to best serve client needs.
Dr. McClanahan holds a BS in Chemistry/Biology and a MS in Chemistry. He earned his PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Kentucky and was a Postdoctoral Research associate in physical photochemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill prior to joining P&G. He has 22 years of health care experience with Procter & Gamble including product and technology development, clinical research focused on OTC products, IND/NDA, drug monographs, devices, advisory committees, international scientific organizations and boards of health. Dr. McClanahan has had extensive clinical experience in international trials and has managed organizations responsible for hundreds of clinical trials, product claims, and claim support and defense. His operational experience includes data management and biostatistics. He has given numerous research presentations and invited lectures, is the author of 31 peer reviewed manuscripts, and holds 6 patents.
